Are you sure it's because of your asthma? My mom has gotten older and can't eat tofu, nuts, and soy anymore. She does not have asthma. Check with your doctor. Sorry...this might not be much of a help!

Asthma and food allergies are completely separate entities. You can aggravate your asthma by certain allergies but being asthmatic is NOT an allergy. I am an an asthmatic and am allergic to dust but they are two separate diagnosis, even if I do get an asthma attack around dust. Asthma doesn't make you allergic to anything it just gets triggered by certain things such as exercise or food you are already allergic to. Allergies change over time, it's a fact of life, although definitely not a fun one. Maybe you should go in for an allergy test to see what you are allergic to so you know what to look out for. While somewhat painful, it is a great thing to know.

I have asthma. What triggers an attack in one person isn't necessarily going to trigger an attack in another person. Asthma is the worst form of an allergic reaction. Each person has their own set of allergies. For me it's more of what I breathe that triggers it. Pollens, smoke, dust, etc...
I have a friend who's son has asthma attacks if he eats wheat, beef or dairy products.
I know I probably haven't helped you out much, but I don't think people with asthma are all allergic to the same things.
I can tell you that my doctor started me on Advair a couple of years ago. It is supposed to prevent asthma attacks rather than treat them after they start. It has certainly worked for me. I haven't had an asthma attack since I started it. You may want to consult your doctor about it. Good luck!

I had asthma from the age of 29 to 31! It was the worst two years of my life. I do not have any allergies or asthme anymore, but when I did, I was allergic to milk, black walnut tree, ragweed and certain type of grasses. I was allergic to weather changes and rain. I was a nightmare, I was seriously thinking about ending it all, I was in such grief. Especially after never having that problem ever and then all the sudden, the whole world came crashing on me. All people are allergic to differant type's of things, get checked out to know which of those allergens you are allegic to.
I costed me about 2 and half years and about 60 thousand dollars to heal what was bothering me! Many people will not do what I did to get healed because conventional wisdom says it is uncurable and people just follow that and they do not even know why. Oh they are just listening to their doctor that's right and doctor's know it all right! Right? Anyway even though people are allergic to all sorts of things, we are really only allergic to one thing. I wish you very good luck in figuring it out, at times i know it is not always easy but you will work it out if you really try. Goodbye now!

You really need to go to an allergy doctor to get this tested and figure out what's going on. You could try to test it out yourself, but it's not always a good idea because you don't always know how severely your body will react to something it's allergic to. Also I don't know if it's asthmatics that are necessarily allergic to certain foods; I have asthma and am not allergic to foods, but my asthma gets triggered by other allergies that I have (dust, pollen, etc). Hoped this helped!

It varies, depending on what the person is allergic to. And I agree that it is a pain to not be able to eat your favorite foods because of asthma!

I develop allergies to things I have eaten/taken for years including shell fish, some antibiotics and lots of painkillers and anaethetic gases. Its a real pain in the butt alright, especially the painkillers and anaethetics as my body is becoming fairly high maintainence as I age! (not cosmetic surgery) Most of the allergies they put down to my asthma.

Do you have any well-being nutrition shops close to you? total meals? dealer Joes? whether they are an prolonged tension it relatively is worth it once or twice a month to get nutrition from places like that. Feed him a number of of vegetables and meat (fowl, turkey, etc). provide him vegetables that are no longer so tricky to digest (potatoes). Sheep milk and buffalo milk is likewise a good option to actual milk. in case you are able to no longer locate the two purely replace his milk with juice or water (if he likes it ). it relatively is definitely much less confusing to handle hypersensitive reactions while a baby is youthful. while they're all grown up they're much less possibly to attempt new meals they might ideally be adversarial to.

I used to go bonkers thinking I had a bunch of food allergies I couldn't figure out until I found out I have Celiac's Disease.
If you have a splotchy red rash that drives you nuts, and you can't figure out why, go to www.celiac.com and compare the photos of "Dermatitus hepitiformus" to see if it'r yours. It's an allergy to grains, like wheat.
Many doc's don't know about it.
70% of celiacs have this rash, and 100% of those who have the rash have celiac's.
If so, not eating the bad foods will cure you.
It's also easy to find out by yourself: Download the "Forbidden Foods," stay off them, see if your condition improves, and you'll know - Without making your doctor rich.
Good Luck
