Probably in our society we're too squeamish about this, but in our culture, school age is probably the cutoff. If for no other reason, you don't want some ugly scene caused by your kid talking at school about bathing with other family members.

The oldest boy will let you know when he no longer wants to bath with his brother. I wouldn't worry about it. Obviously before puberty.

I think that since they are both boys, they should be able to bathe together until they no longer fit into the tub together or they start showering.

I would say now! School kids can be mean! And even though it's normal in your house such as mine for them to take a bath together other kids and parents might not see it that way!

i think about 8 is when kids start becoming more private with their bodies... an 8 year old will be old enough to bathe himself and won't want to bathe with his 5 year old brother!.

Unlike girls, boys are less private when it comes to their body. They are more carefree and not shy to show it all. This is mother nature, and its fun to see them being themselves. So to answer yr question , there is no age limit, u will know when yr boys start expressing their unwillingness to share the bathroom together. As long as they enjoy their bathtime why separate them. it will be sort of their "something to joke abt" when they get older. look at it as a 'brother bonding' thing. it will help them in their relationship...

If they are both comfortable with it - I think it's fine. You may find that your older child starts to want more privacy after starting school -- around 1st or 2nd grade. But I really think that if you're all comfortable with it - not harm done.
