went out for a date with this lovely man but i got the impression he wer'nt that into me but he has asked me out again so do you think he likes me but not showing, it he dos'nt really come across shy to me.

He is definatly interested. Why else would a guy ask a girl out on a date for a second time? He wasn't acting like he was crazy about you (he very may well be), because he wanted to see if you were going to try and make this relationship work.
I would know because I do it occasionally on dates. Some girls are used to having the guy head over heels, doing whatever the woman wants. In order to see if she feels the same way as I do, you have to see if she wants this to work as well as you do.
Well, there you go. Valuable insight into the male mind. Use it wisely, lol.

I have personally went out with guys who were like that. Some men are just very shy. If he asked you out again that is a very good sign. Some men just really have to get to no a women before they can open up to her. Just give him time and show him you are interested in what he has to say. Show him you just aren't another girl down the block, but that you are sincere.

Feelings, like love, are shown different in different people. Like you might be frank and flat out but someone else might hide it and write poems about it. If he asked you out for a second date, then he obivioulsy believes that something is there. And, by the looks of what you told me, I think you think something is there too. Give it a shot. Maybe, while your at dinner, ask him how he shows intimate feelings like that.

IT could be that he is in the same situation as you : still trying to figure out where you stand with him. the best thing now is to go out on that second date with him and give it your best shot. cuz life is too short so talk to him and find out more anout him.

dates are for getting to know eachother. if he didn't find something neat about you he might not be interested. :(
so next date try to be open and keep the conversation. back and forth.

some guys don't want to seem like they are desperate, just go with the flow and if he asked you out for another date....there's gotta be something there....go with the flow :)
