Pimples are caused when bacteria get into the pores on your face (or body). Once the bacteria get into the pores, they polymerize the oil in your pores and turn it into a thicker "oil" that doesn't flow anymore. This polymerized oil collects with dirt, clogs and blocks the pores and forms pimples and blackheads.

The BEST thing you can do is to wash your hands and face every couple of hours with warm soap and water to remove the oil. In addition to this, wash your face after every meal and before you go to bed. Even wash your face after every snack. Also keep your hair out of your face AND keep your hands away from your face.

The best thing to do is use the proactiv regularly. I know it may be a lot of trouble, but your face should clear up in a week or two. Just be patient.

My best advice to you is to go to a dermatologist. Only he can determine exactly what kind of acne you have, give advice, and either give you medicines or prescriptions to cure it. Please keep in mind that acne can leave scars that last a lifetime. Best of luck to you.
