For my money, you can't beat Alcoa vinyl sidings. Their limited lifetime warranties are transferable if you sell your home. I have sold and installed Alcoa products for over 35 years. Less than ten warranty claims over the years have been handled quickly and without hassle to me or my customers.

I have sold and installed more Alcoa "Liberty Elite" vinyl siding than any other style or line. It looks particularly good because it is .048 thick which is almost twice the thickness of some cheaper brands. Thickness prevents that wavy look that you often see with vinyl siding.

I will admit that Alcoa products cost more than most other brands, but in this case, the extra cost is well worth the investment. Here is a link to "Liberty Elite" specs:

Good luck with your siding project.

Normally it means that the material has a rated lifetime (perhaps 25 years) and if it fails before that time they'll refund a certain proportion of what you paid for the material. So if 17 vinyl "planks" with a guaranteed 25 year lifetime fail after 24 years they'll pay you the value of 1/25 x17 x the cost of one plank at the time they were purchased. Not worth having. If they're feeling very generous they might give you 17 new planks, but the planks won't match and you'd still have to pay to fix them into position.
