I hunt deer with bow and rifle, black bear with bow and hunt moose with the bow only cause the tags are easier that way three of us went up north last season and got a nice cow with the bow beside that we seen 9 moose out of bow range.
The small game hunting dosen't get my heart going as much but i do love running my beagles in the fox pen for competition.

If U live here and I'm not sure about the non resident hunter but bow season starts 2 weeks before shooting season begins.This brings one closer to the rutting season which starts early in September,therefore giving U a better chance at filling a bull licence.

Gotta love hunting elk in the Kootenay region (southeast B.C.). They are big, cunning, tasty (mmmm!) and not much else gets my heart pounding like a big bull bugling somewhere close by. Crazy sound!! Not to mention the Kootenays also have a great deer population (whitetails and muleys) as well as black and grizzly bears if you're into that sort of thing.
