I'm sitting down because I'm typing but, symbolically, I am standing and saying that "I don't believe that there is any rational reason to believe in any of the thousands and thousands of gods that have been invented by human beings in the course of history."

How's that?

The most I would say is that on paper, an omnipotent being couldn't exist. However, one must then ask, would we even be able to distinguish between an omnipotent being and a pretty darn powerful one? If somebody were capable of striking me with a lightning bolt from millions of miles away, I doubt I'd be arguing with him over whether he was omnipotent or not.

The Bible is myth. There is no God of Abraham.

There is very little chance that there is any supernatural creator of the universe either, but I am less certain of that. If there is one, it is not at all like the God of Abraham.

Oh, and Jesus was just a mortal man, and none the miracles attributed to him actually occurred.

In my view, none of what I said above takes any more courage than saying "There is No Santa Claus".

I don't believe that there are logical reasons to believe in the existence of a god or gods as depicted by our mainstream religions. I have no problems saying this here or in my everyday life.

It would not take bravery to say "There is No God!" It would take a lot of stupidity to deny the existence of God.
