Discuss fantasies in general and determine how open minded they are...then weeks later you can surprise them...otherwise, make pretty darned sure you know they are open to non-traditional stuff before any unusual surprises in the bedroom...

Do you know the problem with fulfilling your fantasy? Once you do it, it's no longer fantasy. Surprise is best, if you flum your partner's fantasy, oh well, they'll just have to get another. Up to the age of 22, I wanted a threesome with 2 birds, it was my fantasy. I met 2 that obliged and five months later, I turfed them out of my flat, it'd become totally boring and predictable. So I needed a new one, and here it is 28 years on and it's never been fulfilled...YIPPEE!

OKay, that depends. If you're a drama queen, then it's better for a fantasy. But actually, it's better to discuss a fantsy either way.
