Start a conversation where she could talk back.

A topic she likes, telling eachother about your days, etc.

Try not to ask her simple questions that won't expand the conversation, although some questions can be good.

She also might feel shy or nervous when alone. After being alone together long enough, she will get used to it and comfortable. You will then have good laughs and conversations.

She's shy. Try to tell jokes to make her laugh. It just takes time to know a girl. Good luck!

talk about something she can really talk about. also, be careful what you talk about. girls tend not to like politics, science, school, homework, teachers, philosophy, etc. talk more about emotional stuff like how she felt at the carnival, how freaky it was on the roller coaster, and stuff.
