Where is this quote from ? Whither thou goest I goest also - what is the rest of it?

It was used in an episode of Sliders but they modernised it to - "where you go I go too" and now it is really bugging me trying to remember where it came from.

It's a quote from The Book Of Ruth" in the old testement of the Bible. In The Living Bible it reads "Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following you; For wherever you go, I will go; And whever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me." (Chapter 16 and 17)

You can find this in the Book of Ruth in the Bible. When Ruth's mother-in-law wants Ruth to return to her own people since Ruth's husband died, Ruth says: "Where ever you go, I go. Your people are my people and your God is my God."

Basically Ruth remains loyal to her mother-in-law and her husband's family by this declaration.
