taking a heavy knife, laying your coconut on a flat surface, maybe with a towel under it. hit it hard. then turn it around and hit the other side. it should crack open. and squeeze the juice form the towel...lol...sorry,i don't know , besides using a drill.

Place the coconut on a hard, flat surface that will not be damaged. A sturdy cutting board will usually do.
Find the soft "eye" of the coconut that will be soft enough to push a Philips screwdriver through. If not, get a nail and a hammer to create the hole.
Drain the coconut juice into the bowl.
Follow the method outlined above to split the coconut open.

If you want to enjoy both the coconut water & the flesh or coconut meat as it is called,you have to do it in two steps,make a hole through one of the eyes at the stalk end ,you have many suggestions on how to do this,drink the water using a straw or pour out ino a glass,secondly you split it into two halves using a heavy strong knife,then all you have to do is scrape the flesh & eat,if not sweet enough can use a sprinkling of sugar.

I don't know if you can "cut" a coconut with anything other than a saw. However, you can crack it.

Place it on a surface that will keep it in place, like a towel. Then take a (clean) screwdriver, and a hammer. Hit the back of the screwdriver with the hammer to try to stab through the shell. A few good whacks should split it in half.

Where I live everyone is armed with a machete, so you have to spill a liitle, or take a knife and cut a hole in the top. and put a glass on top and flip over very quickly.

best way I have found is using a cordless drill, and just drill into it... you can drink the juice and then after cut it down from the whole and you got coconut

if u got da husk off u find da solf eye on da coconut u can make a hole with a nail stick a staw in it. if da husk still on use a pick or a Oo bar to husk it
