Mothers hardly ever approve of the girl their sons date. You know the old wicked mother-in-law jokes. Ask her out, have fun, mothers will be mothers no matter what.

First of all that doesn't make any sense that your mom won't let you go out with her just because she's 2 skinny. Plus your mom is discriminating against skinny girls and that's not fair. So just don't listen to your mom and do whatever you want to do.

Yes. Is your mother going to decide when you get to breathe, also? I mean, you respect her opinion but you're the only one living your life, right? No mean to be rude, but a good mother would respect her son's preference & let him be himself, just make sure he doesn't do anything out of line.
from what you said, being skinny is the reason sounds a little too ridiculous your mom's doing the crazy talk really. if your girl knew, i bet she'd be offended

If you like the girl ask her out, but be aware that your mother is going to have a fit. Maybe as time goes by, your mother will accept that you need to pick the girls you like, and not the ones she likes.
