I had been having some problems with my hair as well and then I started going to health stores like GNC (where I work) and buying the natural hair shampoos with biotin in them. They dont have any of the laurel/laureth sulfates in them that I have heard are also used in car washes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shampoos. I also started taking prenatal vitamins and biotin and inositol supplements and it has helped my hair a great deal. It will take a few months but you should try it and see if it helps!

Do not process your hair for awhile. Stop blow drying, and using a flat iron and curling iron. Try thickening shampoo. Remember to trim your ends every 6 weeks. If you don't the ends will split up your hair shaft to the root, which slows growth. I know that tea tree oil helps repair broken, thinning hair. Paul Mitchell makes shampoo with that ingredient. It's a little pricey, but worth it. I don't know you're nationality, but they have a whole bunch of hair growers for African American hair texture, such as Motions.

Have you tried Pantene or Matrix? Matrix makes your hair really smooth and stuff.... If it's really that bad, you should probably go to the doctor, or a hair stylist for a recommended shampoo.... I have never had this problem in my life... Since I have thick hair.... Sorry about what happened!
