about 400 - 500 calories a day but spread out throughout the day. For example I eat 1 egg in the morning, a grapefruit 2 hours later, half a sandwich for lunch, tuna at dinner, a small desert then some fruit before going to bed. I am now 5' 3' 109lbs.

Am I in starvation mode. (I have been doing this for a month and have only lost 2-3lbs)?

What can I do to lose weight if I am in starvation mode?

Actually, its said that the average person is supposed to eat about 1200 calories a day....... but u r not in starvation mode

Sweetie! That is so dangerous!

If you consume under 1,200 calories a day, you body goes into starvation mode. If you drop below that for a period of time, once you start eating normally again, your body will not know how to use the extra food and it stores it (making you appear larger.)

yeah you're in starvation mode. this is what happened to me when i was eating like that. if i were you'd i'd eat evey 2-3 hours. I'd also start eating more, you can't lose weight until you start eating more. You will gain it back, but if you do it right, you'll lose it and keep it off.

You don't want to lose more than 2lbs a week because anything else is too much and can mess up your body. try eat 1200 a day and exercising about 45 minutes a day. And if you hit another plateau then just increase your exercising and eat a LITTLE less until it starts dropping.

Eat foods with fiber to fill up quicker. Hope this helped. :)

You don't need to lose any more weight, Sweetie. You probably are in starvation mode. Try eating a little more. One good thing you are doing is spreading your food out through the day.

I do that too. It's unhealthy, you should stop. My parents are both doctors and when they found out thats what I was doing, they alsmost sent me to get help. You dont need to lose weight.

you don't need to lose weight but to maintain your weight that you're at now just eat 1,000 calories a day and burn 1,200 a day!
