He’s moulting and spends most of the day preening, could it be just the “down dusts” making his beck look white? Or is he sick?
He is acting normal, eating, drinking, n singing he is how ever a little more grumpy when I approach him?
Any advice please!

My cockatiels beak is also moulting. It kinda looks like a peeling fingernail.Moulting is a very stressful time for a cockatiel. When their pin feathers come in its painful to them and if they move a certain way it hurts. Also the approaching spring time is breeding season for birds so he may be a little more grumpy as his hormones are kicking in! Hope this helps you!!!!!!!!!
