I'm not a girl, so I can't answer for me, but if this is to help you out - this might help. If he is asking you out in the same breath, feel good about it - he definitely finds you attractive beyond your personality otherwise he wouldn't ask (guys are still guys), but he's found something in you that he hasn't found in anyone else. Now, if he is saying this and not interested in dating you - tell him he is an ******, because that just isn't a necessary thing to say.

I'd be happy at first, and then think "wow, am I really that ugly?" Yeah, I'm the type that likes to be liked for both. Sure, personality is a huge plus and it DEFINITELY matters, but looks are what get (realistically) a lot of attention from people.

I agree with JennLee.
It doesn't have to mean that he think syou're ugly, but just that he finds your personality to be attractive, which is a far better compliment than someone thinking that you are hot.

happy that a guy noticed that and not how i look or what size my boobs or *** is. I can't stand when a guy just judges girls from the outside without even getting to know them on the inside

lucky... that's a sincere, from the heart feeling. If he thought I was attractive because of my looks (...and I ain't bad looking), that would say to me he only looks skin deep.
