Try self control, it works for millions of people everyday.

Are you sure your craving is to drastically overeat, or just to have something you know you're not supposed to eat? If so, you may eat anything you want, just have a small portion. (e.g. cut a piece of cake in quarters, wrap them and put in freezer, when you have that craving DEVOUR a piece)

A lot of times people feel they need to be eating when they are watching TV, etc... try mints or gum. That way your brain tells you that there is something in your mouth; you don't need to be shoveling in high calorie snacks. That's what they tell people who quit smoking so that they don't put on a lot of weight.

Best advice is to ration....
Put things into baggies at the begining of the week. eat one baggy when you are hungry. That way you are eating a good portion but not over eating

Try measuring out what youre eating (ie single servings of chips ) this way you can see how much you are eating...

I also try drinking some water instead of snacking (usually I'm not hungry, I'm just bored or thursty...)

Find something else to do to take your mind off food. And keep a pack of gum in case you *must* put something in your mouth.

Good luck!
