I am a female, teenager, I want to get down to 121 in a month. It seems impossible. My family eats very unhealthy and always brings taco bell, wendys, and chocolate ect; alot of junk food. I try my best to avoid it but sometimes its too tempting. I work out 5 out of 7 times a day, running atleast 3 miles and then pilates. I try to eat healthy. I really want to get down to 121. PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE.

First off, a female that is 5'6" and weighs 127 pounds is just about perfect. I understand that females always want to lose weight but understand that being underweight is unhealthy too!

That being said- if you avoid the junk food for a month you will probably lose weight. Wendy's and other fast food places have good options in terms of salads- just ask your family to pick up a salad and your good to go!

If you're working out that often- your body needs fuel. Avoid starving yourself to lose the weight- that is not healthy at all. A grilled chicken salad gives your body the energy it needs without adding the excess fat.

Like what others said, you are pretty normal for a 5'6 teenager. To not eat as unhealthy, drink more water to keep that temptation of the junk food since it will fill up your stomach. You also sound pretty healthy, running 3 miles a day. You might not gain any weight, but try to eat more healthier like fruit and yogurt instead of fast food. In the long run, that kind of junk food isn't too good for your heart.
Keep up the good excercising, and go shopping by yourself or with your friends to get more healthy stuff. :)

That isn't much. Look online for a recipe for honey mustard sauce (if you like that flavor). Get a head of lettuce, or get a parent to pick one up at the store. Honey mustard sauce on lettuce is filling and not fattening. You can add diced hard boiled egg for some body. Diced onion, too. It can be really flavorful and low calorie. That's the trick to avoiding the junk your family members bring home. Cut down on salt, because that's the biggest immediate problem with most people. I swear, you'll lose a few pounds just by cutting out salt.

if you're doing all that exercise, is it possible that your weight is due to muscle, not fat? if it's muscle, then you have nothing to worry about, unless you're in an athletic sport that has clearly defined weight classes.
but if you want to lose weight quickly but not restrict the type of food, try the "backwards diet": eat what you would normally eat for dinner at breakfast, and eat breakfast food for dinner.
seems a little weird, but you burn more calories throughout the day than you do towards the end of the day. if you eat, for example, a steak omelette (typical dinner fare twisted to become more breakfast-y) for breakfast, something not to heavy for lunch, and then a bowl or two of cereal/skim milk (special K is the best) for dinner, you'll drop pounds really quickly, and you won't be craving much. it's easy to follow this if you eat your family's dinner leftovers for breakfast.
if this is too weird, or your stomach can't handle the heavy food too early in the day, then eat 5-7 small planned meals (a meal could be as simple as a power bar or protein shake) throughout the day to push up your metabolism and also to keep you from snacking impulsively. this method, however, takes time to see the results and is mostly used by body builders to keep their bulk up. it can also be used for people who want to slim down -- they do more light weights and resistance exercises.

Are u into sports? Or are u just doing this because u think u are starting to look flabby? If u are a teenager and 5'6' 127 lbs you are already nearly underweight. u shouldn't be worrying about 6 lbs. and 6lbs. just doesnt disappear in a month. I'm sure it is possible but, none the less, taking off that much for a teenager, that is already near underweight, is not healthy.

Actually, you are at a good weight for your hieght and age. But you are right to be concerned about the junk food: It can't be good for your family. Don't worry about losing weight, Honey. Just keep up the exercise, and do your best with the food situation.

Seriously, you are fine as you are. Losing 6lb is hardly worth worrying about. Just continue to eat healthily, exercise regulary.

And it's okay to have snacks now and then, don't give yourself such a hard time and don't obsess about a few pounds, there are more important things in life.

Take care : )
