i've been hearing a lot about car quote. what is it?

A car quote is an approixmate price of a vehicle. Like, getting a quote on a house, or anything like that. If you were at an auto dealership you could say, "Can you quote me a price on this vehicle please?" And they will tell you a price, and you can haggle from there.
