I believe this problem associates with allergies or other health issues.
I would like to know what makes this discomfort on my lips.
My lips are not rough. Smooth looking, but I feel dry.

Try 1tbs of petroleum jelly mixed with 1/2 tbs of olive oil, if you want stir in a little jello/drink mix for flavor. It always helps cracked lips. and at night put a really thick layer on and it will absorb thorough the night!

This is going to sound odd but I do not know the name of it but it is in a small round metal can about the size of a quarter..the can is blue in color with a red rose on the top. This stuff works wonderful. I use it on my son and it was referred by my brother which has used it for years.

you can become addicted to lip balm, if you have been using it and then stop you may be having with drawl. use Vaseline and drink plenty of water. when you are dehydrated which can happen in the cold you will feel it first in your lips.

dont know what causes this but burts bees wax lip balm or just regular aquaphor will work well, i prefer the burt's....mine get like that alot....also keep in mind that mild dehydration can make them feel like that also
