I"m so sick of it. the caution should have came out. THey do it at ever other races. I dont care if the crash happend behind the leaders it doesnt matter. Nascar says no more racing back to the flag. They need to follow their own rules they dont set a good exapmle.

I dont think they are favoriting drivers and just think about it, say they did throw the caution no telling who was ahead at exactly that moment as they were still side by side and for all we know Harvick could of been ahead and still won it instead NASCAR made a good decision by letting the drivers decide who is going to win the race and not NASCAR because they didnt want to get involved in choosing the winner of the race. Mark Martin did deserve it but so did someone else, it was 6 years ago to the day that Sr. died at the Daytona 500 and he drove for RCR and Harvick drives for them and he also has a little #3 on his car so that probably is the best thing that could of happened to that team at the race.

The last lap wreck was intresting.Normally when there is a wreck the field is frozen. But for some reason a brain at NASCAR figured that since the wreck was "behind"the leaders let them race to the checkers.
Mark Martin just got screwed again.By he car that was formerly the number 3 team, that 6 years ago today lost their driver-Dale Earnhardt.Nuff said.

I respect Mark Martian as a driver and a true racer ! he gives it all when he hits the track. as far as how I think the race would of ended up IF they would of thrown the caution when the wreck actualy started Mark would of been the winner! if you taped the race on sunday play it back in slow motion and it shows Martian the same length ahead of Harvick as what he lost the race by!!!Nascar has seen too many times past that when cars wreck they usualy come back up the track except Bristol!!!! scrub the wall, get a caution! wreck and block the racetrack, they want to see how many cars pile up before throwing caution!

NASCAR made a bad judgment at the end of Daytona. If they can't abide by their own rules, they too should be penalized in one form or another same as they do to teams.
I am no Mark Martin fan, but I respect him as I do any driver. NASCAR is becoming too commercialized as is, now to pull this stunt is straight up stupidity.
I penalize the officials 150 points on this call!

They shouldn't have been allowed to race back to the line, but I don't believe NASCAR favors anyone. That's just an excuse for people who's drivers don't win enough for them. They didn't throw the flag because it was the 500, but it's still b.s. And for Mr. Question the system...Try driving an Indy type car and then a stock car and you will find that the stock car is much harder to drive. Just ask Juan Pablo Montoya. He already said so.

I SO agree. The race should have gone yellow and Mark Martin should have won. It's like NASCAR wants the young guns to win them all. At least Toyota pretty much sucked.

i agree that the caution should have been thrown but why not go back to the days when you raced back to the line but only do it if it is on the final lap that way you get a great finish and no controversy

in the event that they know there is an argument they typically have a pre arranged backup. different than that there is often somebody accessible in an emergency, the two somebody from NW or a driving force that has dropped out of the race for some reason like an twist of destiny or mechanical situation.

OMG get over it Martin lost fair and square. Even if NASCAR had thrown the yellow , he still would have lost Harvick was ahead at the time of the crash.
