Use a good shampoo, conditioner, and product like the Sleek Look system. Use a Chi flat iron heated up to about 450 degrees F. Try Bedhead Chocolate Head treatment or Healthy Sexy Hair Pumpkin Enzyme leave-in spray. Use high heat with minimal contact from your iron. Otherwise, straw hair will happen before you're thirty!!!! Take care of your hair, and it will be fine.

Yes unfortunately it is very bad for your hair. And don't worry your not alone, i straighten mine religiously too but i use hair protectant to save it. See, why it's so bad for your hair is that it takes away moisture from your hair, do u ever notice steam coming from your hair while you straighten? Don't worry, it's not smoke, just the moisture coming from your hair. But if you put a product on your hair, instead of the moisture turning into steam, the product will, thus leaving your hair moisturized. My suggestion for a product to use is Superstar Gel from TIGI Bed Head products. You put it on your wet hair and then you can either let your hair air dry, then straighten or blow dry stright. Then after you straighten your hair put in After-Party Smoothing Cream, it adds shine to your hair and is so light weight it's like you have nothing in. AND it keeps those fly aways down, cus i know i get them! Here's a link to the website to buy these two products:

GOOD LUCK!

Yes, to answer your question. Straightining your hair can kill your hair and basically leave you with dead hair. What you should do is try avoid straightening it every single day and also maybe try a straightner that is not as hurtful on your hair..I have a Chi Ultra and it works very well, you should try the serums also to prevent split ends and stuff as well as conditioner that repairs the damage that youve done to your hair.

Well yes thats the truth it isnt healthy for your hair to do it every day. stop doing it. (if you still want to straighten then i recommend doing it not everyday give your hair a break) cuz it will get fried over time. if you keep doing it every day it will be straw by the time you get to 30. good luck!

You get a lot of split ends. Youre only supposed to straighten hair once every week, thats the maximum

Blowdrying is better for your hair then straightening, so if you can do that instead I would. But they do have condition sprays that you can use before and after you straighten which helps to lower the damaging effects.

Well I straigten my hair every other day it is rough on your hair but why would u straiten it evry day? You aren't supposed to wash hair every day it takes all of the natural oils out of it. Sorry i don't mean to be all mean and stuff, I suggest you use a sprit spray that ia made for you to spray on before you straigten you can find it at target or your beuty supply store around you. This keeps your hair in top shape!

First off my grandmother used to straighten her hair everyday. I don't think she had a perm. If you have a perm in your head then it can't be good because that's what the perm does. Heat does dry out your hair but I'm thinking you put grease or something in it to keep it moist.

yeah it does. i straighten my hair liek every day, but i probably shouldnt. the heat damages your hair, and makes it dry, and it kinda mkes it look and feel like straw. try using a silicone based product (available any local hair salon or at wal-mart,k-mart,etc. it protects yor hair from hte heat but your hair will still have the same straight effect. ♥

well it depends. if u condition it and take really good care of it it wil harm it less. i traightenend my hair every day, twice a day, and bleached it. i did for a few months and now its been a year and the top layer of my hair still feels like hay (sorry, my spellings pretty crappy).
if u really want to do it make sure u take reaaly good care of ur hair otherwise
