What does your young kids like in their sack lunch?
Mine loves hotdogs, cheetos and juice box.
He hates fruit and we can't send "sweets" to school

He is dairy free- sad but true.
He eats a wonderful breakfast each morning with soymilk, and good dinner.
Its just lunch that gets problems.

We do a breakfast program at my work for unprivileged children. Here are some of their favourites.
Homemade trail mix (various types of cereal, raisins, choc. chips, goldfish, mini rice cakes etc - be creative)
Tortilla wraps with ham/cheese, pizza sauce/cheese pepperoni, cream cheese with grated veggies
bagels with cheese, cream cheese
granola bars, pudding cups, frozen yogurt tubes, yogurt cups,
Hope this helps.

How about cheese? Or some fruit flavored cereal like Trix.

My daughter loved the lunchable pizza things.

try this ...sounds gross , but tastes pretty good
Cucumber and ham with mayo sandwich !
Or Ham and cheese all kids love
mayo , ham , lettuce , my FAVOURITE !

It is important that he tries to eat healthy - he is young and needs a healthy immune system ! Also when he comes home from school ( my mum did this with my lil sis ) ....cut up fruit BUT ...put toothpicks in them - it looks nice and fun to eat ! Hope this helped you ! Just try it !

he culd send him with fat free hot dogs. reduced fat cheetos, no pb and j sandwiches b/c they're so unhealthy. pizza pita might work- pizza toppings (low fat of course) in a pita that was baked or toasted. or garlic pita bread. replace all bread in ur house with pita bread. if you toast pita bread, it really does taste wonderful. my skool had bbq pita chips and they were wonderful. popcorn- (just not flavored) isn't a bad idea like pretzels. if ur willing to spend a bit more money, send him with spinach quiche lorraines (they're exceptionally delightfully TASTY). honey/sugared granola tastes great while its nutrional. angelfood cake = no calories = [=)]

there are loads of recipes online, just look them up if u want more ideas

they're loads more,
