Hey, congratulations on your weding!
I take it you're a Filipina?
I am getting married to a Canadian, too, next month, and have picked Boracay for our honeymoon. It offers the best of everything, so many activities available for you, whatever your interest, it has cable and wireless internet access within easy reach, ATMs, reputable foreign currency exchange centers (they even exchange traveller's cheques for cash), and all the bars and restaurants you can visit on an average stay where you eat three meals a day.
The beach is wonderful, and the sunset is the most romantic I have ever seen. Believe me, I have been all over the Philippines, as high as Sagada and way down there in Tawi-tawi.

Your relationship isn't doomed. he's a guy, and adult men do no longer carry onto sentimental issues like ladies do. i think of you will possibly desire to bypass someplace else. If this is bothering you adequate to ask this question, it's going to worry you on a similar time as you're there. no longer the type you will possibly desire to start up a marriage. you may continuously bypass to his relaxing spot later, yet now's the time to have fun your unique marriage. Plan the honeymoon and suprise him. Or %. a place jointly which you will have fun with. i'm specific there are a plethera of alternative places you may bypass around you on a finances.

nothing wrong with boracay but i really don't like it that much anymore... too crowded and too commercialized. if you want, try and go to palawan. if you wanna be adventurous and would like a more intimate place, try bantayan island off the northern coast of cebu. beaches are exactly like boracay's without the crowd and all the hoopla. if you want the shopping and bars and clubs though, bantayan also has that. but on a lesser scale. it's the place to be when you're a native cebuano and are looking for a boracay-like place.
here's a website for a travel agency on bantayan island with a list of resorts in the area: http://www.bal-tours.ph/hotels_cebu_bantayan.html
notice the beach in the pics... reminds you of jamaica or the bahamas =)
if your budget is high, definitely go for amanpulo in palawan. really really nice... think private island: http://www.amanresorts.com/pulo/home.htm
good luck in searching for that magical place!

Manilla or Makaita are fabulous places to go ... there are great hotels and even better shopping!!! Have fun, but book soon as it might get expensive in the near future.
