What is a good weight will vary between dogs, even in dogs the same age and breed.

The best way to tell if your dog is a good weight is to do a rib check.

To thin: More than the last rib or two shows, in really bad cases hip bones may even be visible.

To fat: The dog has no visible "waist" when looked at from above. You have a hard time feeling the ribs.

Just right: The dog has a visible "waist" when viewed from above, and you can easily feel the ribs under a thin layer of fat.

Depends on the bloodline. Sounds about right to me becuase you are looking at 250lbs full grown.

Sounds a little heavy but what do I know... Ask your vet if he's overweight.

Talk to your vet. They can give the best advice.
