Yahoo! Answers.....LOL, I haven't decided, yet. For others, this is not a "Catholic" thing, necessarily. The people of Jesus's day sacrificed and gave things for others. It's a symbol of our love for one another. You don't have to be a certain religion or even religious to sacrifice. It cleanses your soul (if you believe in a soul and cleansing)!
