Is it possible you were having acid reflux because of all the bending over? I have learned from experience that reflux can cause a lot of throat problems. Coincidentally, while I was diagnosed with reflux that was causing pain and tightness in my throat, I was also diagnosed with a herniated disk in my neck. I still wonder if some of my throat pain was/is due to the herniated disk. My throat issues have definitely improved though since going on an acid medication, but it has taken 4 months. Either way, you may want to talk to your doctor. I wish you good luck.

I was just reading along when I came across this post and had to reply. I am 7 months pregnant and suffer from some pretty good heartburn these days but have recently been having some back pain also. Lately accompanying the back pain is some throat pain as well. And it isn't like a sore throat due to a cold or strep it genuinely hurts like an aching feeling. My pain is in between my breast plate and collarbone area with a sharp pain in my upper back. I haven't done anything about it as these days I am experiencing a lot of un-comfortableness everywhere, but I am glad to know that I am not the only one experiencing this strange relationship between back and throat. Good Luck with it though.

Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things causing pain.
Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Try out some home remedies. You can also look for information in the web that give you home remedies. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
