1. If plans are made, flake on them...
2. Give them the wrong phone #...
3. Not return calls..
4. Talk to them less....
5. Talk about other people you like...
6. Tell the person they should like/get with someone else...
7. Be a little bit rude, but not too obviously....
That's all I can think of for now..

I tend to keep any conversation short with her.
I will also avoid people and places that we have in common.
I may also ask a close mutual friend to drop a hint or two for me.
All this aside from just being direct...which is really the best way to go. Being direct, honest, and compassionate will earn you the most respect.

I just tell them straight up that I'm not interested and if they can't accept that, I turn up the volume. It pays to be upfront with people now a days. Why lead them on or act like you're just playing hard to get. Some people can't read hints that well.

Wrong phone number, the wrong address, the wrong name, don't speak to them, tell them you have someone already, act annoying, pretend to have a medical problem, give them a hard time,

None of the above other than "thanks, but no thanks". Who wants the bad karma of lying or ignoring someone? Besides, that just means you are okay with people treating you that way...and my guess is that not many people really are.
Treat others as you would like to be treated...that's the way to go about it.

well you could lie and say you have a significant other. that usually works. or you can say I'm not interested in seeing anyone right now, i have too much going on in my life to be involved right now.
