Topicals have never worked, Lamisil pills worked but the doc said no more because it could cause liver problems.
Any over the counter stuff?

Lamisil tablets are no more harder on the liver than taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin). Athlete's foot is caused by a fungal infection. This can be minimized by thoroughly drying out your shoes....or even switching shoes.....wear one pair one day....and another pair the other day. Your feet evidently stay wet.....so I would also suggest that you change your socks like once a day as well......and wash them in bleach in the washer. The only other prescription tablet you can ask the doctor about is fluconizole.....so ask your doctor about that one. It's been used before for this. I don't know of any over the counter pills for this fungal infection. I do know that I found a pump spray Tinactin which really helped me out....so if you haven't tried it.....buy you several bottles and go from there........spray your toes, top and bottom twice a day. Best of luck to you.

The most important thing is to use the over the counter meds or whatever you are using for it. To keep using it even after its gone. They suggest thirty days. Thats what they dont tell you. My son had a fungus and the dr said even if it goes away after a couple days you have to use it for 30 days to make sure its gone or it will come right back.
