when you open and it asks you to upgrade to pro, choose the option Later.

You probably are not doing anything wrong...but from experience I would stay clear of limewire. I recently downloaded the free one and got so many virsus I had to have my computer professionally "cleaned". It totally crashed my hard drive.

what kind of limewire are you using? the normal version on download.com or limewire.com but you can also get a version for 20 dollars and you might have accidently clicked on that

No software must ask you for your personal info, I have been using LW for more than 2 years and NEVER HAS DONE THIS contact the software Costume Care Center cause someone is spamming users on LW name.

you are down loading the wrong one redo it and click on basic limewire.

i used to have lime wire and never had that problem i would try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it from the internet using the free link otherwise u can try bearshare.com which i have had for a whiel nowc and have had no problems.
