Hmm, a lot of medication isn't that great for cats or kittens long term health, (a lot like medications for our serious illness) what she could use is a safe immuno builder and something that helps support healthy cellular growth. A good product that could do her a lot of good is 4Life Transfer Factor Advanced, it's for people but Vets have had nothing but good experiences using it to help animals build their immune systems for problems as serious as cancer and leukemia. You can find out more about this here: http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/tf/s/pets.htm
and you can get this product straight from the company

The other thing you could try to give her, is Xango Mangosteen juice made from the mangosteen fruit, which is very rich in vitamins, anti-oxidants, and a powerful phytonutrient group called xanthones that could be great in helping her body recover from being ravaged by illness in her earlier growth period because they help in the growth of healthy cells and help fight off microbes that could still be slowing her growth rate and developement down. Again, this is for people too, but my cat came down with leukemia that nearly killed him, when the vet gave me his diagnosis back in November last year, he gave him no more than a week to live but I gave him both these products and he's healthier than he's ever been now. You can find out more about this here:

Good luck with your kitty, it's nice to see another dedicated animal lover like myself
Wishing you and your kitten all the best
Heads up

Good for you saving a sick kitten! She may grow a bit more because she is still young. Don't worry if she only turns out to be 5 pounds or so as an adult. That's small for a cat, but she'll be fine as long as she continues to have a healthy diet and proper medical care. My parents have a rescued adult cat who is only 5 and a half pounds, and she's perfectly healthy now. It's just really funny when she lays next to their other cat Butterscotch, who is pleasantly plump at 15 lbs and looks like a ham on short little legs.

It could be a possibility, or she is just naturally small and delicate, I brought three very sick babies in about 5 years ago and was able to save the girl but sadly I lost the two boys but she is only about 4 pounds and she is just a tiny delicate little thing, and her mom was a big cat. So it could be from the sickness from when your kitty was a baby or she could just naturally be a small cat, but if its really worrying you maybe that is a question that you could bring up with your vet the next time you see him/her.

what a sweet person you are. I know this kitty is trying to gain weight its just going to take her longer because she was so sick and almost died. I did a rescue of a very sick kitty 1 1/2 years a go she never made it. she lived about 7 months. she was f.i.p. positive this is very difficult to treat in real serious cases but it sound like your kitty is going to make it and I know you will be happy every time she gains an ounce it takes awhile to really recover and get your strength back and put some weight on. she will. thank you for what you did

animal sickness can definetly stunt the groth of your feline. sure she is small but is that nessasarily a bad thing when it comes to cleaning the little box. other diseases that would be good to get her checked for are feline lukemia FIV upper resperatory infection, also make sure she is eating her food regularly. a cat can grow up to a year of age so she may or may not grow anymore. but even if she doesnt im sure she will be just as affectionate as anyother cat. Just make sure your 17 lb cat dont sit on her lol. Good luck with your little baby.....any more questions please feel free to contact me kitty45342@yahoo.com

you would be accountable of cruelty to animals in case you enable it pass in the woodland. How could you like it in case you have been enable pass into the woodland to proceed to exist? you are able to think of of ways you have grow to be so irresponsible to a residing creature who relies upon on you. This kitten loves you and thinks it has a house with you. in case you guard this egocentric cruel concepts-set you would be an fairly undesirable discern in case you ever have a toddler. in case you quite do not desire to maintain it, then you definitely could come across a clean homestead for it - in case you won't be in a position to, then take it to the animal guard.

Yes, because she is still a kitten. (most likely) But, there is a chance she may not, because she was a sickly kitty. I heat kittens/cats!
