Its easy, and will bolt right on, heres the details:
YJs, (87-95) - Converting to a hard-top isn't that big of a deal. You'll need to remove all the factory soft top rails and windshield header. The top will bolt down using factory holes in the tub. You will have to drill a few holes in the windshield frame to attach the front half of the top. Some people choose not to use the front holes, so they skip drilling the windshield frame. As for the doors, on a CJ/YJ you'll need full doors, or round upper door skins for your half doors. If your top has a rear wiper and defrost, you'll have to get a harness and switches from Jeep to make it work. TJ and CJ/YJ tops are not interchangeable.
TJs (97-06) - Converting to a hard-top isn't that big of a deal. You'll need to remove all the factory soft top rails and windshield header. The top will bolt down using factory holes in the tub. On a TJ your current soft top doors will work, or you can switch to full doors. If your top has a rear wiper and defrost, you'll have to get a harness and switches from Jeep to make it work. TJ and CJ/YJ tops are not interchangeable.

The short answer is yes, but it's not as straightforward as you might think. Do you already have a soft top with the frame and hardware? If so, then unbolt the hardtop & remove it (it's pretty heavy, so you'll need some buddies to help with that). Place the soft top with the frame over the jeep, line up all the screw holes and screw in the frame. If you don't have one already, then you may want to check out some aftermarket soft tops to see how expensive they are. If you buy one, make sure it matches the correct year of your jeep (I think the body changed significantly around 2004) and there will be instructions on how to install it. If you're thinking of swapping tops day-to-day based on your whims, then no, it's not practical or easy to do.

yep you can, the jeep comes from the factory with the bolt holes pre drilled but you will have to get the correct nuts and bolts as the bolt location use special nuts to hold the rear section in place. Check around alot of Jeepers like me no longer use their hard tops and you can pick one up for a good price! Just make sure you get the correct top. Example 87-94 YJ Wrangler will not take a CJ top. If you did not get your Jeep with Hard doors you probaly will want those also

Yes you can without a problem, my buddy did it to his, In the winter he leaves the hard top on, and in the summer he usually puts the soft top back on.

very easy! your best bet is to try a local area sale paper(like over here their is a quick quater) or try ebay! try and go with a factory product!! those after market tops are never a perfect fit!! believe me I know!
