that means u are straightening it to much on each spot, and try not to straighten it to much, if it smells like that, rthen u r frying your hair, try putting ur iron on a low setting instead of high.

Before you straighten your hair make sure you have washed your hair and you don't have any product ( gel, hairspray, serum, leave in conditioner, etc.) If the smell is still there this is going to sound crazy but get some of your favorite lotion that smells good put only a little in your hand and run your fingers through your hair. then when you're close to your bo he'll want to smell you're all night.

frizz ease oil is good to put on your hair before straightning it even the hair oil made by pink is good to use plus the pink kind smells pretty. I would reccomend using the pink this should prevent your hair from breaking getting dry and smelling burnt. make sure you get the spray on kind and lightly spray it evenly through out your hair. if your hair is still smaelling burnt try putting your straightner on a lower setting. also ceramic straightners are the best kind to use. you can get them at just about anywhere that sells hair products. any more questions email me kitty45342@yahoo.com Good luck!!!

DON'T PUT OIL IN YOUR HAIR!! I use this liquid thing(i don't know what to call it)called Biosilk Silk Therapy. It has done wonders for my hair. I bought it at JC Penny and it helped he a lot.
Before straightening, just put some of the liquid in your palms and spread it evenly on your hair. It will not leave a burning smell. It will smell nice, I think. Good Luck!

It doesn't work if you put anything in before it. Try putting a sweet smelling defrizzer or a straighten out spray afterwards, just to cover the smell. It doesnt get it out completley, but it helps

Yes, you should put product in your hair before you straighten it. If you smell burning, ITS YOUR HAIR. Don't make the straightener as hot, or move it a little faster. Definitely use product.

because when you straighten your hair it getting pretty burnt thats why you get that smell. if you will straighten aa lot you will damage your hair so be careful. when I straighten mine it smells something like burnt too but I try not to do that often because it killing hair. and it also depends on what temperature you have your styler turned on.
take care

Spritz some perfume over it to make it straighter then it will smell good as well.Or spritz a lot! It's your call!Or you can put some of your best smelling lotion in it.It straingtens it more and also keeps it from frizzing while still making it smell wonderful.I do it all the time.My favorite scent is sweet pea.You should try it.

you need to protect your hair with a product like Bumble and Bumbles styling lotion (it is a spray). It will help protect your hair from damage when drying or straightening. Also, you may want to turn down your straightener, sounds like the setting is too high (if you have options for heat)

Try using a wet to straight straightener. And while your hair is still wet use a heat damage protectant. I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum before I blow dry my hair. It would protect your hair from heat damage so it wouldn't burn and it smells really good, I love it. It's $20.00
