If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

You did not say what you did ..All sins on earth committed are forgiven by God except the one that he HATES and is not forgivable and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit..Deny that there is a God that is not forgiven. Now if you commit a crime the law may get you and you will have to pay here on earth even if God forgave you and He does if you repent but you must first forgive yourself and truly REPENT of the sin you commited. Keep in mind we fight not or wrestle against flesh and blood but darkness (evil) there is a constant battle against the flesh and the Holy Spirit that lives in us if you are a believer. When one repents of a sin and God forgets it one must forget it because God has erased it. Please be still .I pray you did not commit a crime cause again the law may make you pay on this earth but God does forgive.

Repentance is not enough. For God to dwell in you the old you must be purged. Your life must be lived in Christ. How can you ask for forgiveness and know you'll do these things again.

Gods forgiveness goes into a sea of forgetfulness for the true believer.

If you have truly asked the Christ to dwell in you then forgiveness is yours , for what you have done , doing and will do.

There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, if you are covered by the blood then your sin is crucified with the Christ.

The thing is, you have to repent for the behavior, and turn away from doing it, ask God's forgiveness, and God will forgive you. Acts 3:19. Isaiah 55:7 The question is: will you forgive yourself?

If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you have repented (turned away) from your sin, you will be forgiven. Your name is written into the Lamb's book of life, and only you can choose to reject the grace of God. Do not let the enemy deceive you into believing you are beyond God's grace, because that is impossible.

Hi Julz,
If you are a Chriustian then your prayers are answered if you have not done this with the intent of committing a sin and it is not a public sin. Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

I used to think the same way but as soon as you ask just one time for forgiveness he forgives you just like that. The bible says he is slow to anger. He's not angry with us even when we sin, but he must punish unforgiven sin.

Don't worry. God has already forgiven you. God can never hold a grudge. He's like a parent. Parents never hold a grudge against their children. They may punish them but they will continue to love their children.

Romans 10
Accept Jesus' Salvation and forgiveness.
Your forgiveness:
Based on Jesus shedding his blood on the the cross to pay for all man's sins and rising on the third day.Your salvation is not based on your feelings.
(blaspheming the Holy Spirit is the only Unpardonable sin)

If you were Catholic, there would be. A valid confession where you receive absolution is like hearing Jesus himself say you are forgiven. "What you bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven. What you loose on Earth shall be loosened in Heaven" "Receive the Holy Spirit, whose sins you shall forgive, shall be forgiven."
