It really doesn't matter what Hitler was if you are trying to pin his evil acts to his religious/lack of beliefs. The mere conteracting fact is that he USED belief in God to convince the many millions of his minions to regard the Jews as evil. Many of the slave owners used the bible to convince slaves that they should follow their masters.
The point is that when religion is used as a pawn to do evil, it works very well on a huge population, millions of people even. A simple cruel atheist man could not have convinced thousands of people to torment and kill millions of people. He needed the aid of belief in God to do so. I mean who can debate the ethics of a perfect being that created us all? Especially when it means killing and tormenting the same people that did it to God's son?

That shouldn't be put on all Christians. I never said he was atheist. Hitler had visions that he thought was from the ruler of Atlantis. Hence the Aryan race. Hitler was not Christian either.

He wasn't an Atheist, I am a Christian, so don't point to all Christians. He SAID he was Christian (Catholic is a denomination of Christianity). He, like many others, had misinterpreted scripture, twisted it, to make what he was doing seem to be righteous. It wasn't and GOD KNEW HIS TRUE HEART! He was what I call a counterfeit christian. Only in words, not in actions and heart.
Everyone who does evil is not an Atheist, Atheist's DO NOT believe in God or Satan or Heaven or Hell.

"I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.."

Well we all know that in all of Hitlers speeches he never once used the words "In the name of God" this of course dose not say he was not a Christian, I believe he was neither Christian or atheist, he was simply a demon from hell it's self, and he certainly proved that to the world.

in all honesty dose it matter if Hitler was a Christian or an Atheist.
Hitler was a coward he did not kill anyone himself he rather used his SS slime to do it.
And I would like to se anyone say that the vast majority of the SS were not Christian.
I bet you the SS officer that was trying to hunt down my great-grandfather in Ukraine was a Christian.
