Licking it is no big deal, but cats aren't built to handle sugar. It can cause serious diarrhea and other issues w/the digestive tract.

Personally, I have found that moderation is the rule for everything. I had a cat that was ape for raw chocolate chip cookie dough. If I was eating some, he would beg for it. I also loved spaghetti, ice cream and, of course, milk and tuna.

It never hurt any of my cats. Give him a bite but that is it, or let your cat lick your fingers. With spaghetti, I would make Georgee his own plate and he sat in the chair and ate off the plate at the table, paws never touching the table.

We had another that loved pizza and would steal your pizza if you weren't watching. Then I have one now that is very finicky and will only pull the food out of his bowl onto floor. He will not eat off a plate or your fork, etc.

If it makes your cat's tummy upset or gives him diarrhea, then don't do it. If he likes it and his tummy can tolerate it, then, remember, moderation is best.

It won't kill her, but it's not a good idea for her to eat sugar or any people food, for that matter. I have a calico that thinks she's a human and wants to eat everything I do - she does sneak sugary stuff occasionally & just like humans, she gets a little weird and acts like she has a sugar buzz. But, in all seriousness, sugar for your kitty is not good for her kidneys, liver or any other organ in her body - so keep her away!

I thought only my cat was nuts for sweets! He loves, loves, loves Angelfood cake. When I make or buy one, I have to lock it away because he will eat at the container until he gets to the cake. I usually give him a few crumbs to keep him happy and it has not hurt him but I would not give him more than that.

Will it kill her? No. But truthfully, it's probably not a good idea.

I had a Maine **** with a sweet tooth. Clio loved twinkies (with the cream), marshmellows, cake.... I would let him have a bite of my deserts, as long as they didn't have chocolate.

Unfortunately, later on in life, Clio developed diabetes. Was it because I gave him sweets? I don't know. But if I had it to do again, I would not risk it.

It's not the greatest-but a tiny bit is okay. My cat- she likes to lick bowls, and others dishes after I eat out of them, before washing them, and sometimes she likes to have a "taste" before I eat the food. Take care.

If it was just a lick it isn't so bad, but you should not let her eat a whole cookie.

Yes yes yes she will get fat, and it is good to only feed them one kind of cat food too, one brand. No dog food either, they will get really fat. and especially no chocolate, pets cant digest it and they will die.
