Why is it that people who have been molested, and never healed from it, seem really happy and like they have no problems? Are they just pretending?

How many people do you know that have been molested?? And how well do you know them? Did they go to counseling? Do they have crutches that they turn to like drugs and alcohol? Just because they're smiling on the outside doesn't mean they're not dying on the inside. Never judge a book by it's cover. Btw, were you molested? If you were, you need to talk to someone and get help to heal.

they can be happy but not about the molestation. its not like their whole life is in that moment when that bad thing happened. you just don't stop living when it happens its kind of like when you get a bad cut, it scabs over and the skin grows back but there is a scar. its healed but its not the same as it was before it got cut. when you are molested you change forever but your not broken forever you can have a good life and be happy but it still happened and it is a little part of you.

people want to move on from this crisis that they have went through in their lives.if they let themselves dwell on it it would drive them insane, so they have to move on.
they aren't pretending, they have just i guess accepted that it happened and has made a conscious effort to move on with their lives. everybody has a right to be happy and if the people you are referring to has gotten to a place that they can be happy then good for them.
they haven't forgotten--never think that!-- its just that to be able to survive, you have to let it pass, you have to move on and let yourself heal.

Depends on that person. Mabye it wasnt bad, they liked ir, dont care, are used to it, or mabye they really arnt happy, sometimes they might be hurt for a little while, or they still hurt but live happy lives. Some just are tramatized.

yes but down inside they are still hurting especially if the person who did it is still walking around on the streets a free man or woman

yes. they have learned to cope with it and put on a show because they dont want to be gloomy. Its sad, but thatz just what they do.
