craigslist.org is 100% free. You can find local people by going to the craigslist nearest your major cty. I have met many friends and even dated local people from craigslist.

No there is nothing like that.I tried everything,they'll ask for money to join.My advice is just join a blog site like 360 or Orkut and start meeting people.Also there is a site called craigslist,it'll help you alot.Good luck.

Why not trying to get up off of your butt and getting out and meeting people that way? Go to church, join a gym, take a classes at a local college, learn a new hobby, take up a new sport. You're not going to meet anyone sitting on your butt.
