There are subtle indications, if you pay attention, that indicate Iraq is gradually splitting itself into 3 nations. People are re-locating to be with their own, either voluntarily or under threat. The Kurds would certainly love to have their own independent country.
This won't happen as long as the U.S. forces remain in place and have some sort of influence over events in Iraq. After the U.S. pulls out, things may be different. In the absence of a strong central government, the Kurds will surely declare independence. The Turks will certainly not like it because they have their own LARGE population of Kurds who would love to join or create an independent Kurdistan. The same situation applies in the east, where Iranian Kurds feel the same way.
I think that we can foresee with little debate that there is going to be a big problem in the near future, with war possible on that front. The Turks would love the opportunity to rebuild the Ottoman Empire. Snatching up a few crumbs of former Iraqi territory would be a good start.

YES YES YES
If anyone wishes to know the source of many of the problems in the Middle East, please go to this link. It is the autobiography of a spy in the 1790's who served for the East Indian Company. He openly discusses the tools the British Government (alias the EIC) use to break nations and religions to conquer. He focuses primarily on the creation of Wahhabism but does speak of other countries as they painstakingly lay their plans to destroy Islam.
You will find out the source of some of the problems.

The Kurds are not mentioned but they were not really well known at this time. Every Kurd I have met has been an outstanding man with much to contribute to the human race. But then, these were urbane men, also citizens of the world. They are brilliant players of backgammon! They have honour and I learned ethics and so many valuable things from them over the years I was with them.
After the atrocities of Saddam, and the hatred from the Arabs, they need a home. My ex husband lost 11 sons to the senseless wars of Iraq. I know he would never take his tribe home again but he would certainly love to be able to visit "the old country" once in awhile. But I do not see this happening. The Illuminati are too bent on dividing and conquering people at this point. They will not allow this to happen.

This book is a long read, but extremely enlightening. You can also use Illuminati instead of British Government or East India Company. After all, the last two consist primarily of Illuminati!
Peace to all.

No! Iraq should not be divided. in the past the U. S. invasion, or maybe in the past Saddam, Iraq had Shia, Sunni and Kurds residing peacefully. US coverage of forged-based branch and federalism has sown the seeds of present day discontent. Its only like saying, US states would be divided up alongside forged/creed lines - one for whites, one for blacks, variety Latinas and so on. If the rustic became into divided into 3 international places, continuously Turkey, with its super Kurd inhabitants will take up the Kurd united states of america to steer away from its Kurds from growing to be to be a member of the hot Kurds; in addition, Iran will the two seize, or impact thoroughly, the Shia section. and that's some thing neither u . s . nor the international want. appropriate answer is to enable Iraq study to stay in a multi-cultural united states of america, utilising democracy because of the fact the theory.

Turkey will not tolerate a Kurdistan nor will Syria. There are Kurdish minorities in Iran also. If want to make a wider war a certainty take that road. The pokitical factions PKK and PUK have run military operations in the mentioned countries.

The Kurds can make their own nation as long as they have a specific territory and a sovereign government that is granted independence by Iraq.

Since they were treated so badly by the Iraqi/what his name followers they should just create a society within Iraq with their own language being equal to the Iraqi's something like what the French do in Canada. Equally annoying but acceptable!! LOL

Considering how badly the Kurds were treated by Iraq? I think it would be great if they had their own country, and didn't have to be the unwanted stepchildren of someone else's country.

I think that is an option that should be considered. they catch crap from all sides and their only crime is that they live in one of the oil richest parts of Iraq. They don't bother anyone but nobody wants to let them just live in peace with all that oil.

You know it's funny. When half of India is Muslim THEY DEMAND a separate state, when Oil is somewhere else they, like everyone else in the world, want to all share in it equally.
If Hindus discovered OIL under their land but not under Muslim areas, I'll bet MUSLIMS wouldn't want a separate state anymore!
