if the comforter is holyspirit then Jesus may say it like this
" you know the holyspirit that exist within us, he still be with you and will be called the comforter??!"
-but instead Jesus was talking about someone that the world still don't know, definatly not the holyspirit who they already know:
Jhn 14:17
the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
-only when Jesus leaves, the promise comforter will come.
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

I so love it when people misquote the Bible.
You can try (and indeed you did!) to represent the Comforter as Muhammad, but you didn't take into account this verse:
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26)
Jesus is rather clear about who the Comforter is here, don't you agree?

Jesus will send the Holy Spirit to indwell in us, isn't this the whole reason for being born again (John 3:5-8)? You answer your own question when you state John 16:7 also.

According to St. John the mission of the Paraclete (Comforter, Gr. Parakletos) is to abide with the disciples after Jesus has withdrawn His visible presence from them; to inwardly bring home to them the teaching externally given by Christ and thus to stand as a witness to the doctrine and work of the Saviour. There is no reason for limiting to the Apostles themselves the comforting influence of the Paraclete as promised in the Gospel (Matthew 10:19; Mark 13:11; Luke 12:11, 21:14) and described in Acts, ii. In the above declaration of Christ, we see a new dispensation, that of the Spirit of God, the Sanctifier. The Paraclete comforts the Church by guaranteeing her inerrancy and fostering her sanctity. He comforts each individual soul in many ways. Every salutary condition, power, and action, in fact the whole range of our salvation, comes within the Comforter's mission. Its extraordinary effects are styled gifts, fruits, beatitudes. Its ordinary working is sanctification with all it entails, habitual grace, infused virtues, adoption, and the right to the celestial inheritance. "The charity of God", says St. Paul (Romans 5:5), "is poured forth in our hearts by the Holy Ghost who is given to us." In that passage the Paraclete is both the giver and the gift: the giver of grace (donum creatum) and the gift of the Father and the Son (donum increatum). St. Paul teaches repeatedly that the Holy Ghost dwells in us (Romans 8:9, 11; 1 Corinthians 3:16).

Did you have a question or are you on a trip to let everyone know you like to twist the bible like Jim Jones did? Only in my opinon, and I'm sure I'm not as "connected" as you feel you are, you either study to much and pray to little or you don't do either one enough.
