1. My favorite is Garnier. Personally, I think that it lasts longer than other brands I have tried.
2. Its very easy! Usually I have someone do it for me as I have longer hair. But all you do is start at the bottom of your hair first, and work your way up and make sure you get the roots.
Tip: If you have short hair you should only need one box. If you have longer hair, you might need 2 boxes. Dont mix the 2 boxes together, use them separatly. (meaning dont double it).
If you arent comfortable about doing it yourself, have your mom or someone who has dyed their own hair before.
Good Luck!

Loreal Natural Match haircolor. You should really give that a try, especially since it sounds as if this is your first time (atleast at home).
And yes, it's easy to do at home. I would have someone like your mom, friend or sister to help. Someone who has done it before, but you can definately do it yourself. Just make sure you get ALL your hair, don't forget any of it.
And be careful, because I've had really bad experiences going more blonde than I am. (bright yellow hair, blue tinted hair, orange)
If it does turn out bad, try another at home color first.
If that is still bad, go to a hair salon. They can fix almost anything.
Good Luck Good Luck Good Luck.

If you are going darker I DEFINITELY reccomend getting a "cellophane" go into any beauty supply store and they'll know what it is. It doesnt damage your hair because it actually sits on top of your hir and makes it shiny and colors it. Its also made all naturally from plant extracts so it's REALLY good for your hair. It's a temporary dye, easy to use, and washes out in about 10-15 shampoos usually.

I am a cosmetologist and I am 54 years old. I will answer you in all honesty . My opinion is no. I answer this way because at your age people who loved you your whole life are hoping you turn out well. Meaning --not nuts- Even if dying your hair purple doesnt make you crazy in your peers eyes, it does in the eyes of your elders of your family. You dont want to make them more concerned about you than they should be. IE (up your business all the time b/c they are worried). So , no , for the sake of your family and your sanity. No.

I don't dye my hair, but if you do, I recommend the John Barrett salon in New York. Ask for balayage highlights. From all the horror stores I've heard of at home dye jobs, I would suggest that you steer away from them.

I always use loreal. I have been dying my own hair for over 10 years, easy. Just remember if you have thick long hair you might need to get more than one box.
