I find that the things i can eat since i have been diagnosed are very restrictive ,not to mention boring. How much rice and bread and cereal can one person eat? Any one got any suggestions on what else i can safely eat , something a little less boring?

The BRAT diet is the best : Bananas-Rice-Apples-Toast and any other bland basic like mashed potatoes, potato soup, chicken noodle soup, chicken and rice, poached or smoked salmon and crackers or rice. Basically keep the foods uncomplicated and you will be able to tolerate them. My kids love stewed pears and matzo ball soup when they are sick (not together just 1 at a time). Feel Better Soon!

Well, I do know that salmonella will only bother you for about 36 hours, so that's a good thing. The bad thing is, I can't tell you what to eat. Sorry. Get alot of sleep.

Hi Nicky,

My recommendation would be peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.

Seriously, I really don't know. I would think your doctor could help you.
