I've had one ride as an adult, 5 foot 11 inch and normal weight (not telling). It only lasted about 2 seconds and it sure as HELL was not my idea!!! I tried to hold a St. Bernard for shots, he didn't like the idea. In all fairness the dog did out weigh me by a good 10 pounds. LOL

Why would I want to answer this if I know you already don't want to see that anyone has? I use to ride my aunts Great Dane when I was 4 (was the size of an average 2-3 year old). When I was 12 the same aunt had a St. Bernard who picked me off the floor once when I was laying on him - I was under 50 lbs.
When I say I rode the Great Dane, it was more like I'd try to crawl onto his back, he's actually move over to the couch where I could get up, lay on his back , hold his neck, he'd walk in a circle and then bring me back to the couch.

All my grankids have but they were under 3.
I did see a guy in the Christmas Parade with two rottweilers pulling a wagon. He had made a full harness for them. The wagon blew out a tire, but they drug it on as if nothing happened!

As a kid I guess I've riden several dogs for a short distance. I would guess I weighed somewhere around 40 lbs and the dogs were collies, shepards, and st. benards.

I don't see how it could not be a harmful thing...My suggestion is that you enter some bull riding competitions and leave the dogs alone.
