i dont know whether or not to im him!! i dont want to come on too strong if he doesnt feel the same way! also, he is friends with a lot of people that are... "higher up on the totum pole" than i am at my school and i dont want him talking to them about me in a bad way....
What do i do???

ugh so i imed him..
it did not go well
i asked him a question after saying things over 2 minute periods and then. he signed off. no bye or anything.

Look, you took the initiative, and had the nerve to IM this guy. You said it did not go well. Now you wont have to torture yourself with "what ifs". Hey, don't let it bother you,next time maybe wait until the vibes are a little stronger. And ,do not worry about what other people say, especially the higher ups on the totem pole . They are not any better than you. don't sell yourself short.
