Of course, thoughtful and educated people in general recognize it is unlikely there is a god -- nevertheless, if there were a god he would not approve of abortion, do you agree?
Don't tell me what the Bible god says, I know the Bible through and through, and the Bible god says all kinds of outrageous and horrifying things, and no decent person should have to listen to that -- but a real god would not approve of abortion, for a real god would be a just and kind and honest and righteous god.
Just because there is no god, that doesn't make any allowance for abortion -- a real god would never approve of it -- and we ourselves all of us know the difference between right and wrong.
All who agree your responses would be appreciated.

a real god would not allow rape to happen or for children to be born into abusive or impoverished homes with parents that cannot make a decent life for them--if there was a real god there would be no need for abortion and this question would be as nonexistant as said 'real god' is now

If "real god" is against abortion, why does he perform so many? A pregnancy has a 1/3 to 1/2 chance of ending in the first trimester NATURALLY.
edit
Kate, dear, The Bible is not believed in by many, many people. About 2/3 of mankind actually.

What do you mean by a 'real god'?Are you saying that just because you didn't bother to even look at the verses apart from someone's erroneous and twisted interpretation? Come on,people.it's not that hard to look at a Bible yourself, and the ignorance displayed by some people on here is absolutely breathtaking.
No,abortion is never okay.In fact,I'm disgusted that morality seems to have gone down the drain in the western world.Shame on us.We need to take a stand.

Why I think abortion is wrong: no person has the right to take the life of another person. Why I think it is murder: murder is when you take the life of another person. Abortion involves taking the life of another person, namely your own child. I don't relate this to God or Bible. I relate it to what is right. I don't believe in killing. If I saw you slashing a guy on the street, I would call 911. Abortion is the same thing. It is not right and it is everyone's job to intervene to stop the killing. It is not your body. It is your baby's body. If it was about sincere right and wrong instead of politics, you would not have that right. Unfortunately it is one of those things that gets votes. I care about all lives; I think live should be let live. I take care of my own life, but I also feel concern about others.

first off the bible is T-R-U-E hun and there is a god. it would be impossible for somebody to just make up a book and have everybody miraculasly believe in it. also of course he wouldnt approve of abortion, its killing innocent babies and not giving them the chance to live and die on their own. So yes, the bible is real, yes god is real (the bible god), and no he would not/ does not approve of abortion.

No real God would approve of a crack baby having to go through withdrawals.
No real god would approve of a women having 9 children while on drugs and watch them suffer from birth defects and drug withdrawals. Watch them grow up in foster homes moved from one home to another. No real God would approve of young men just out of high school getting their legs blown off trying to keep two muslim extremists groups from killing each other.
What about the over 3000 men who have died? Yes by all means protect those crack babies from being aborted so they can live a life of torture. But send perfectly healthy young men to die? Your thinking is very screwed up.
But religion has to be against something we are all against to sound respectable. I mean those TV Evangelists are all on Forbes list of 400 richest men in America. They have to be against something. Keep gays from getting married but give tax breaks to oil companys. Steel from the poor to give to the rich.

So if there is no god then your question is senceless babling. Not being sarcastic, but your question is not a question, it's simply an opinon, and something only a man could respond with. If it were possible for me to get pregnant there is NO WAY I'd permitt anyone tell me I have to birth this baby.

He who speaks in circles winds up eating his own words.
For it is the foundation of society, the ancient yes....Biblical sayings that you know inside and out that all civilized rules are based upon. Even those that do not believe in a "real god" can only base their right and wrong on that god that is spoken of in that Bible you know in and out...without the word of god, real or not(?) right and wrong come from a higher source than the ground upon which we walk.

The decision to terminate a pregnancy is a personal decision between a woman and God. It is not the business of any other living soul.
I would not make that decision for another woman and neither should anyone else.
If you are against abortion, Great! Don't have one. Otherwise, it is none of your business.
