We want to buy a dishwasher on the internet. There are two colors to choose between, Aluminium and Stainless steel.
I looked at the pictures but couldn't decide which one looks better?
Do you have any suggestions? Which one is better to choose?

The answers seem divided! Sorry but I have no certain answer except my experience of stainless is that it is a PIG to keep clean! Shows every finger print etc.
I think choosing aluminium is a good bet because I read somewhere it looks good more easily than stainless. If you do go for stainless get the brushed finish not shiny which is the worst for showing marks.

I'd think of 'shine'. Stainless steel is going to be a lot 'shinier' than aluminium. Depends what you want. To me (which is irrelevant to you) stainless steel is a very 'hard and cold'' look for large utilities like dishwashers, BUT I'm not that fond of the metal look.
Anyway, I think you need to take your planned look into consideration and then see a large part of you kitchen in very shiney metal and decide whether it goes with the rest of the stuff you have or are planning?

aluminium is a soft material and will scratch easy its a bugger to keep up to.
stainless steel is very hard wearing and will keep its looks for much longer, thats why they make sinks out of it.
i've worked with all types of steels for the last 30 years and would go for stainless every time
aluminium looks nice in some one elses house
