I can them in pint jars with one tablespoon of pickling salt.But they just dont seem to be right.I leave the lid loose so that they can work off.What am I doing wrong?I would appreciate any help I can get.Thanks ahead of time.

HOMEMADE SALT PICKLES

1 qt. white vinegar
1 pt. water
1/2 c. course salt

Bring to a boil; pour over your cucumbers and seal.

I grew up with my mom making pickles with a recipe like the one above...very good.

Make sure the lid is tight and you put them upside down until they have cooled. Then store upright.

the salt will do a little for the recipe even if it is a pinch get a recipe that says a pinch of salt but don't put a pinch of salt and u will see
