My guy friend is a marine..and yes I miss him. We used to go out...and then broke up. Now all we ever really do is fight. I finally got sick of fighting with him, and told him that. I said to him if he still truly does want to be my friend again, hes going to have to come to me. Now his buddy who is also in the Marines, told me that he is now MIA. (missing in action) . I do not know what to do now!! I miss him a lot...and if hes dead- i will never be able to forgive myself....

I was married to a military man for 25 years. Believe me, we had our arguements. But, when we were first married we discussed the possiblity of something happening to him after we had spoken harsh words to each other. He told me, a well trained man does not let personal happenings interfere with work. And if you knew each other as well as you say you did, he knows that you will always be his friend, spoken or not. You are not responsible for his MIA status. Just pray for his well being and be happy when he is returned. If he is dead, pray for his soul and talk to him and tell him how much you really cared. He will hear you.

you shouldn't feel guilty for being honest with him about your feelings regarding the relationship. Everybody fights, you just have to learn to communicate and resolve your issues. If you never see him again, you will have to accept that your friendship ran its course and ended. You have nothing to 'forgive' yourself over. It will just be a matter of letting go. If he comes home, you can forget about the "him coming to you part". It will no longer apply I think! LOL! good luck.
