We have two dogs...
1) Kharma. Shes a three year old American Pit Bull Terrier that my husband and I adopted from death row when she was first born. Her "breeders" couldnt find any homes for the litter so they took the mother, who was then pregnant, to a shelter where she was scheduled to be killed the next morning. And wouldnt you know it, she had the babies during the middle of the night so the shelter put a news article out and thankfully every puppy was fostered out until they got adopted!
2) Chavez, our nine month old American Staffordshire Terrier that we adopted from a local high-kill shelter. Although we are ideal parents and have a great home for him, their adoption policies on "pit bulls" are so strict and unreasonable that I had to go back every day for two weeks in a row before they finally let me have him! Hes the most stubborn and hard headed puppy Ive ever had!
...And no matter what anyone says about "pit bulls", they are wonderful dogs and we love them to pieces!

A Doberman Pinscher named Hammer. I rescued him from a shelter when he was 11 months old, in September. And he is 16 months old now. He is the best dog EVER.

I have some kind of a mix between a shih tzu and a lhassa apso. bought as the smaller variety, but the vet was leaning more towards a lhassa by her size and snout. she's a good dog, I trained her when I was 12. great with kids, I go babysitting with her ALL the time.
