My dogs sometimes will do this in the mornings. It is just bile. If they have an upset stomach but haven't eaten anything in a while, then they will throw up bile. If it happens several times a day though it is time to go to the vet. If it only happens once in a while then it is nothing to worry about. Good luck.

It's bile and depends on how often it happens on if I'd be concerned about it. My parents lab did this a few times a week, just upset tummy from table hand outs (no luck training my father not to do this).
Depending on the size of the dog you can use some human antacids (tums, mylanta, pepto), but I know the dose for LG dogs and you'd need to scale it back if it's a toy. Call the vet with the weight of your dog and ask which and how much of the medication they'd recommend for your pup.
DO NOT feed the dog grass, people think this helps because dogs eat it when their tummy is upset, but it induces vomiting.

Depends upon a lot of circumstances. First, does it have all it's vaccines? If yes, then it's probably not parvo. Does it dig in garbage cans or dig stuff up in the yard? Then it could be a stomach ache. Is it eating and drinking & keeping that down? It could have something stuck if it's refusing to eat.
You can start by trying to treat like a stomach ache. Give a couple doses of pepto bismol every 3 hrs for 3 treatments. Withold food and water during this time & then start on small amounts of water & boiled chicken breast & boiled white rice about every 1/2 hr. Slowly wean back onto his food in a couple days.
If he vomits up the ckn/rice food, then you need to get him to a vet immediatly. You could have a much more severe problem.

My Golden does this periodically (like once every couple/few months). I asked the vet about it at his checkup and said not to worry about it since it's so infrequent. He said it's just a mixture of stomach acid/bile and it's no big deal. If your dog does this a lot though I would ask the vet to look into it.

That generally means your dog's stomach has been empty to long.
Try splitting up your dog's meals, feed two or three smaller meals a day. If this doesn't help give a few treats in between to keep the dog's stomach happy.

Dogs do this when their stomachs are upset. My golden did this until I took him off of IAMS dog food. He's on NUTRO now and is doing so much better.

Most of the time this means that the dog's stomach is upset. If the dog can eat grass, this should straigthen the problem out.

Sometimes puke involving 'foam' can be a sign of a stomach ache. My dog puked yesterday, and it involved 'foam and leaves'....yeah, weird- I know!
But, if you feed him grass, that will calm the intestines. Sounds crazy feeding a dog grass, but it totally works. If he won't eat it, mix it in with his food.....

My vet told me that if the dog has not eaten for awhile and there is nothing in his stomach it is normal for them to throw up the yellow green foam. It is bile from the stomach.
